Bio: Steve Williams started studying efficient building practices, after a career change, through the USGBC LEED program and became a LEED Accredited Professional in 2006. He drifted into water issues during the Georgia drought and became fascinated with rainwater harvesting and stormwater management. In 2008 Mr. Williams was a part of the first class east of the Mississippi to become American Rainwater Catchment Systems (ARCSA) Accredited Professional. His research in rainwater harvesting lead him into studying water usage and efficiency. He zealously attended meetings on state and municipal water management, seminars, regional and national conferences for several years learning about green infrastructure, the natural water cycle and water efficiency. Steve is a member of the Ocmulgee Basin Advisory Committee of the Metro North Georgia Water Planning District since 2007. In 2008 he started a rainwater harvesting business primarily working on the residential and small business sector. He has also give presentations on rainwater harvesting, stormwater management and water efficiency at local regional and national conferences. In 2011 he was hired by Water Management Inc. to help open the market in Georgia and the Southeast promoting their water efficiency programs in multi-family, industrial and institutional sectors.
