Bio: Dr Modreck Gomo is a Geohydrologist Post-Doc Research Fellow with the Institute for Groundwater Studies at the University of the Free State in South Africa. His first career started as a Lecturer for Food and Process Engineering at Chinhoyi University of Technology in Zimbabwe (2006-2007) after completing a BSc Honors in Agricultural Engineering in 2005 at the University of Zimbabwe. He then moved to South Africa, where acquired the following degrees at the University of the Free State in the field of Groundwater; Honors Geohydrology (2008), MSc Geohydrology (2009) and PhD Geohydrology (2011). His current research focus is on Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) geochemical assessments and groundwater quality if the South Africa coal mines.
