Lalit Kumar Dashora is a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Specialist brings more than 9+ years’ wide experience at both national and international level including South Asia, South-East Asia and European nations.

His range of expertise in Water, Climate Change and Disaster Management includes; Planning, organizing and supervision of GIS assisted scientific hazard risk assessment; Probabilistic multi-hazard risk and catastrophe modeling; Multi-sectoral event damage and loss assessments; Vulnerability and composite risk assessment; Reconstruction & rehabilitation; Program design; Mitigation planning and implementation; Monitoring evaluation and impact assessment; Risk atlas development; Evaluation and establishment of End-to-End Early Warning Systems; Catchment modeling, River basin management; Development of city, provincial and regional climate resilience strategies. 

He assessed various training needs and conducted capacity building programs in disaster risk reduction in Asian countries (Bhutan, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Thailand). 

He holds master’s degrees in Geo-information Science for Earth Observation, Environmental Modelling & Management; Urban & Regional Planning and Geography.
