Bio: John is Advanced Data Mining Intl's (ADMi) Chief Executive Officer and oversees work associated with solving complex environmental problems related to process optimization, hydrology and water quality modeling. He has garnered success in all areas of utility industry leadership and management, including operations of water and wastewater utilities where he is knowledeable in performance measurement, competitiveness approaches, and the development of plant process models using complex modeling techniques; and water and wastewater treatment process and distribution system optimization. Prior to joining ADMi in 2006, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Charleston Water System (CWS), the water and wastewater utility for the metropolitan area of Charleston, SC. During his 21-year tenure at CWS, he held positions of Director of Engineering, Assistant General Manager and then CEO, and oversaw the utility’s work in environmental problems related to process optimization and modeling, hydrology and water quality modeling utilizing technologies that included artificial intelligence and data mining. John has been involved in a numerous projects with the Water Research Foundation, the U.S. Geological Survey, and other utilities and industries. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a member of AWWA and WEF. He holds degrees in civil engineering/mechanics from the University of South Carolina, and an M.S. in environmental engineering from Colorado State University.
