Bio: The consultant has 17 yrs of experience in Govt of India, engineering consultancy firm (MECON LIMITED, An ISO 9001 Company) and 10 yrs as project based engineering freelance consultant. He has wide exposure from basic engg to detailed engg of multi disciplinary mega projects related to Water resources development, Water conditioning and supply, waste water engineering, Municipal Sanitation Infrastructure, Industrial water systems, Urban Sanitation, Hydrology, Storm Water Management, Canal and Pipe Hydraulics, ventilation, air pollution control, air-conditioning and as domain expert in GIS applications. He is also an auditor for ISO 9000 & 14000. The consultant had the opportunity to involve in a few bank and Industry aided projects related to : 1. Planning environmental resources and identification of sectorial development objectives and development sites for vision 2020 for Govt of Andhra Pradesh (World Bank Aided). The zoning has been done with 31 GIS layers of information on 29 topo sheets for the district of Vizag in A.P. 2. Adequacy study of existing utilities related to Oil_Water systems, Oil_water separation, Effluent Treatment plants, water treatment plants, cooling water recirculation, Sea water once through cooling systems, Fire water hydrant systems, Domestic water, sewage collection and treatment and storm water management 3. . Netravathi_Tunga_Bhadra river basin development and inter basin transfer schemes by hydrological studies and integrated river valley development. The consultancy work involves field engineering survey, Hydrological studies, Hydraulic engineering, Development of intermediate reservoirs , Crossovers and Cross Drainage Works covering an area of 60 TOPO sheets in Karnataka covering 8 districts 4. Development of a shore based Petrochemical and pharmaceutical industrial (APIIC Funded)estate comprising of 400 medium and small industries with common Infrastructural and environmental management facilities for industrial services, primary and secondary effluent treatment plant facilities with marine disposal and land disposal provisions. Marine disposal facilities include dilution capacity calculations and dispersion pipe design with 24 Kms of on shore pipeline and 4 kms submarine pipeline for effluent disposal. 5. Urban water supply, storm water management , sewerage up gradation in four towns of A.P under DFID funds coordinated by APUSP, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. Additional schemes have been made for augmentation of municipal engineering and water supply facilities in these four towns. 6. Pipeline integrity management on GIS platform and Hazard consequence analysis (HCA) and pipeline corridor management of hazardous habitation and environmentally sensitive areas using GIS data base for regular project management including SCADA operation and maintenance. 7. TAG (Technical Advisory Group) member for AUSAID project in Gantok and Shillong municipal institutional development of water supply and sanitation. 8. Private Sector Participation (PSP) of water supply, urban sanitation and irrigation infrastructure, involving NGOs/WUA and preparation of tender documents for PSP participation including LRMC estimates for all the schemes and augmentations required, detailed technical specification, execution planning, monitoring and evaluation as per the world bank guidelines using French model. 9. Involved in more than 100 Design reports and EIA/EMP/EMS Statement reports for Infrastructure, Irrigation, Industry sanitation and other development projects. The candidate is very resourceful and can contribute to several areas of the gamut of environmental planning, engineering and studies.
