Acciona Sees Desalination Boom in Chile on Mining, Desert
Acciona SA, the Spanish developer of clean energy, wind and water projects, is predicting a boom in the demand for desalination plants in Chile as the copper mining industry expands.
The company plans to bid on contracts to build municipal desalination plants to supply cities with potable water and units to provide supplies to copper mines, Diego Pini, a director for Acciona’s Infrastructure unit in Chile and Peru, said Wednesday in an interview.
