Bio: Dr R.P.S.Malik is a Senior Researcher-Economics with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) based in New Delhi office. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Before moving to IWMI, Dr Malik was on the faculty of University of Delhi for a long time. Dr Malik has also worked for several other institutions – The World Bank, World Resources Institute, International Institute of Sustainable Development etc. Dr Malik has co-authored three books on water related issues published by the World Bank, the most important being “India’s Water Economy: Bracing for a Turbulent Future” co-authored with John Briscoe, and “Indirect Economic Impacts of Dams”.
