Bio: I am working with Center for Himalayan Ecology and Water Resources Policy and Management, Water Division at The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi on research related to sustainability of Himalayan Ecosystem, integrated water resources management, waste water management, water audits, aquaculture, and drinking water and sanitation. I am an integral member of TERI Glacier scientific expeditions, where we collect data for glacier mass balance, black carbon concentration and set up of scientific equipment on the field. My specific focus of research is on high altitude hydrometeorological parameters and their implications on livelihoods. I am involved with various projects on integrated water resources management, waste water management, water audits, aquaculture, and drinking water and sanitation. I am also working on issues affecting mountain communities, planning and implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies of Indian Himalayan states. I have also been involved with social and institutional aspects, notably community mobilization; community based institutional mechanisms and livelihood enhancement. I have also been working on implementation projects related to enhancing livelihoods of local communities through water resources management through capacity building. Some of the areas where I have worked, while at TERI, include Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Sikkim.
