Bio: Dane Madsen has served as CEO from the inception of Blue Earth Labs, LLC in 2009 and as a strategy consultant advising the investors of predecessor companies in restructuring and revenue growth for the previous two years. Prior to Blue Earth Labs, Dane co-founded YellowPages.com in 1996 and assumed the CEO role in 2000 where he guided its growth from 15 to 150 employees as the largest local business directory on the internet and its eventual sale to AT&T in 2004. Prior to 2000, Dane spent nearly two decades in financial services, including as an Allied Member of the NYSE. He also held positions as a regional manager and as a managing director of a venture firm. Dane’s well-developed, early stage company management and leadership skills won him the coveted Frost and Sullivan CEO of the Year, Market Engineering in 2002, which set the stage to evolve Blue Earth Labs from science to significant revenues. Dane has served as consultant, advisor, and founder/founding board director of other early stage companies in the technology, advertising services, and software industries. In his leisure time, he assists non-profits and community organizations and occasionally finds time to dive, ski, and fly.
