Australian scholarships available for water leaders of tomorrow: The International WaterCentre (IWC) is currently offering several full scholarships for high calibre international candidates interested in studying the Master of Integrated Water Management (MIWM) in Brisbane next year. Camille Dow Baker, co-founder of the Calgary-based charity CAWST, Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology, has been named the 2015 recipient of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) Medal of Honour. The award recognizes her work with CAWST as a "Made in Canada" education-based solution for one of the world's great public health issues: the lack of access to safe drinking water and sanitation.

Seminar/Workshop on Base-of-the-Pyramid Markets (02.07.2015) "Base-of-the-Pyramid" refers to the several billion people in the world living close to the poverty line.Because of their large number, these people represent an attractive opportunity for market-based solutions, and a few initiatives globally have managed to tap into this potential. In order to highlight some of the opportunities and challenges in serving these markets and customers, a seminar/workshop will take place on July 02 in Dübendorf (close to Zurich).A keynote will be delivered by serial social entrepreneur and author of several books Paul Polak, and additional initiatives from different sectors (water-energy-food ecosystem) and regions will be showcased.
