Water can rightly be said as the basic element of the life on earth and water sector no doubt is the one of the most important sectors. No sector can be isolated from the water sector. Each sector, whether it is agricultural or industrial, urban or rural, health or sanitation, has direct linkages with water sector. In today's world, water is getting precious since its availability is getting limited due to increasing pressure of population and urbanization. Virtual water concept is not getting the attention it requires.
