Is Chicken more water friendly than beef? Would anybody exchange beef for chicken because it is more “water footprint – friendly”?

According to the "Water Footprint Network", the global average water footprint is 15500 litres of water per kg of beef, compared to 3900 litres for 1 kg of chicken meat.
