Free-range beef cattle are much lower impact than chicken and irrigated soya in much of Zimbabwe. The cattle are free-grazing, drinking water from rivers. So for Zimbabwe we will stick to our beef for now.
According to the "Water Footprint Network", the global average water footprint is 15500 litres of water per kg of beef, compared to 3900 litres for 1 kg of chicken meat.
