May 16, 2008 — The Centre for Water Research was established in 2003 to generate innovative approaches to assure water quality in Alberta through research on watersheds, water ecology, safety of water and wastewater, as well as related economic, policy and risk issues. Over 100 associated researchers working to international standards contributed to a strong foundation for the development of Alberta's "Water for Life" strategy.
