The title "8 Mighty Rivers Run Dry From Overuse" is interesting and confusing. It is true that so many rivers run dry, but do not agree that in all cases it is the "overuse". It seems a general remark of a newspaper reporter, not of any scientist or eminent engineer. The rivers are , it is true. But why ?. Whether in case of every river, diagnostic analysis based on rainfall has been done ? If there can not be any reason other than overuse to make a river run dry ? It is also true that even after normal rainfall dam reservoirs are dry ? Why ? All these conditions need scientific analysis and also need remedial measures to make rivers to run with normal discharge and dams to fill .
