To keep the programme targeted and discussions meaningful the conference consists of a single plenary of invited speakers on the first day, followed by two parallel sessions (one for drinking water and the one for wastewater) on days two and three the programme will consist of invited speakers.

Recent decades have seen emergent issues that bear potentially massive risks for the long-term trajectory of coastal environments and the uses we make of them. These issues have raised awareness, and in some cases, motivated investment of much funding and research and management efforts. The conference will provide case studies and best practices in water utilities in the Arab region, also aims to share and exchange the local experiences with the international water community and summaries the lessons learned from each case study. Discussion and comments will be targeting and focusing on developing best practices and guiding principles on water resources management.

The WateReuse Research Foundation is accepting abstracts for technical presentations at this event. The foundation’s research conference is dedicated to showcasing the latest results from "cutting edge" research related to water reuse and desalination.
