All wastewater treatment plants will experience operating problems from time to time, and some plants a lot more than others. Very few activated sludge plants have been completely free from foaming and bulking problems at some time and other plants suffer these problems on a routine basis. In a similar way poor solids removal, inefficient BOD removal, odour problems, inhibition and toxicity can all occur on a seemingly random basis. Routine sampling and chemical analysis from is expensive, demanding and its interpretation is not always clear.

The Water Environment Federation’s Residuals and Biosolids Committee, in cooperation with the

This conference will highlight beneficial reuse options, science, and technologies currently available to leverage biosolids as a valuable resource. Below are a few topic areas that will be part of the 2012 Conference.

The Conference is being planned in collaboration with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. Speakers will represent the major water and energy utilities of the Asia and Pacific regions, as well as financiers, environmental specialists, and international experts on all aspects of dams and renewable energy. Delegations from about 50 countries attend these Asian events, to discuss all aspects of water resources development of particular relevance to the Asian region.

The aim of the Wastewater Purification and Reuse Regional Conference, is to gather, under one roof, all of you that your research, your business or your daily activity, is related to the purification of the wastewater and its reuse. Building a 21st Century Smart Water Infrastructure Summit

Dr Glenn Byrne of Rolled Alloys will present the one-day workshop. He will discuss the different types of corrosion affecting the high-pressure piping in seawater reverse-osmosis (SWRO) systems, how to recognize the source and type of corrosion and how to prevent corrosion.

The themes of this conference include the wisdom of old civilization, scientific and engineering aspect of rainwater management, communication and education of rainwater and environment.
