Water, as the source of all life, is the most precious substance on the planet. Its comparative abundance has led to many misuses which will seriously impair our common future. Water Management in Mining has returned for the third time to address the fundamental role of sound water management in operational and environmental sustainability.

The East Africa Young Water Professionals (EAYWP) is a regional forum that was established to bring together young water professionals below the age of 35 years in the East African region with the main aim of pooling competences in order to provide unified approaches towards solving the challenges faced by the water sector in the region.

The aims of the conference are:
• Israel’s Government efforts to enhance desalination related market opportunities
• The operating experience and expansion plans of Israel’s mega seawater plants
• Basic issues related to costing of desalination plants
• Future directions of desalination processes

This Third Maghreb Conference on Desalination and Water Treatment provides an excellent forum for scientists, professionals and technologists especially from North Africa countries. It will be devoted to fresh water for the Maghreb where the situation is dramatically more serious with rapidly increasing population and much lower rainfall.

The First Mediterranean Water Forum will be held in December 2011 in Marrakesh, a first step to the Word Water Forum of 2012 in a country of the South of the Mediterranean. Therefore, this preparatory seminar aims to bring together around targeted themes the main stakeholders of the Water Community in the Mediterranean, namely: decision-making bodies, local and regional authorities, parliamentarians, donors, representatives of the private sector and experts, regional networks, other civil society stakeholders and State representatives.

'The Carbon Congress 2011' will feature high-level interactive discussions among business leaders, Government Officials, Civil Society Scholars and Influential Leaders.
