Asset management technology and services company Pure Technologies has received an $8m work contract from the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System (LHPWSS) in London, Ontario.

The company will supply and install its acoustic fibre-optic (AFO) monitoring system on a major water pipeline. The contract also includes real-time pipeline monitoring services for a period of two years.

 GS Inima Enviornment S.A., one of the world's leading water treatment company, secured a 69.4 million euro (US$93.9 million) deal to build a desalination plant in Tunisia, the firm's South Korean parent company said Wednesday.

GS E&C, a leading builder in the country that acquired Inima in 2012, said its Spanish subsidiary sealed the Djerba plant order by forming a 50-50 consortium with water management company Aqualia S.A. The order was placed by Tunisia's water resource management corporation.
