The Symposium aims to review the current situation of water and wetlands, assess the new challenges and plan for the future through six thematic workshops and by bringing together key conservation and policy actors from various fields.
The goals of the Conference are to present recent experience in the development and implementation of the groundwater component of the water management, provide insight into the impact of climate change on groundwater resources and promote contemporary methods for the mitigation of anthropogenic influences on significant groundwater aquifers.
This conference aims to share and promote best practice in the many applications for constructed wetlands in both the domestic and industrial sectors.
The 14th International Riversymposium, 26-29 September 2011, will explore the multiple reasons that rivers are valuable. There will also be a wetland focus within the program including the value of healthy wetlands (and rivers) to human health.
