The challenges to addressing the issue of water security across sectors, levels, and borders are many and complex and the risks of failing to tackle them are high.

The primary aim of the symposium will be to bring together a diverse group of experts (academic, civil servants, NGOs, international organisations, etc) from across the world to debate the existing and potential relevance of the 1997 UN Watercourses Convention.
