The objective of the Conference is to build capacity and awareness of DEWATS as a viable sanitation option for countries in Asia to enhance sanitation coverage and service delivery in the urban environment and provide a cost-effective means for treating wastewater. It will focus on :

-sustainable technical options
-management options and the roles of various stakeholders
-enabling institutional and regulatory frameworks for the effective implementation and scaling-up of decentralised systems.

The International Lake Environment Committee (ILEC) and the River Systems Institute–Texas State University will co-sponsor the 14th World Lake Conference, to be held in Austin, Texas, USA, 31 October - 4 November, 2011. The conference provides an interactive international forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences on important lake and reservoir science, management and governance issues. The conference is a biennial event with previous conferences having been convened in Argentina, China, Denmark, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Kenya, and the USA.

The main objective of the 1stBulgarian National YWP Conference-Sofia 2012 is to provide a platform for sharing experiences of the students, young professionals and researchers in the water sector by the age under 35 years, by meeting their peers and presenting their work.

The Shale Gas Water Management Initiative 2011: Marcellus, will, for the second time, bring together senior thought leaders, technical experts and strategic professionals to drive forward solutions at every level of water management from sourcing to re-use to treatment, recycling, transport, storage, disposal and public relations. It is the only event to draw experts from every shale gas operator in North America to examine the specific water challenges that are holding back the industry today.

In 2002 the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg called for all countries to establish national Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) plans. We propose to explore IWRM in detail from both US and international perspectives.

Global experts on Lake and Reservoir Management will gather in Granada to discuss approaches to Sustainable Water Quality Management, to expand networking possibilities and discuss new collaborations.

Featuring two conference streams, delegates will have the opportunity to hear from and discuss with leading practitioners and industry experts regarding the policies, programs and initiatives being rolled out to deal with the challenge of delivering on water reform, security and leadership.
